Welcome soldier to the year 2025! You've made it a long way on the battlefield! In 81 years things have changed! Below is the most up-to-date install and patching procedure to get you back on the Battlefield.
1. Install BF1942
2. Install Road to Roam
3. Install Secret Weapons
4. Update Punkbuster from HERE
5. Install Patch 1 from HERE
6. Install Patch 2 from HERE
7. Install Patch 3 from HERE
8. Install Gamespy Master Server and Windows 10 Compatibility Patcher HERE
***For Windows 10 Users***
9. Press windows key plus X then press F to open the control panel.
10. Click on "Programs and Features", near the right side of the screen
11. Click on "Turn windows features on or off" near the left side of the screen
12. Find "Legacy Components" and make sure the radio box is checked.
13. Click the plus symbol next to "Legacy Components" Make sure "Direct Play" is checked.

1. Right click on the Start Button
2. Select "Settings"
3. Select "Gaming"
4. Select "Game Mode"
5. Select "Graphics Settings" or "Graphics" if Win 11
6. Select "Desktop App"
7. Select "Browse" then navigate to C:\program Files (x86)\EA Games\Battlefield 1942
8. Select BF1942.exe
9. BF1942 should now be listed, Select "Options" in the BF1942 listing
10. Select "High Performance" then "Save"
11. Close settings window, then run Battlefield 1942
